Post flight inspection revealed the aircraft received damage requiring repairs before the aircraft can fly again. The aircraft is still on the ground 48 hours later.
The remainder of the flight was cancelled, the passengers were bussed to Podgorica.
Passengers reported they observed a flash hitting one of the wings and engines and a bang, the aircraft jolted. The aircraft diverted to Dubrovnik, where mechanics inspected the aircraft but reportedly found a hole prompting the cancellation of the remainder of the flight.
The airline confirmed a lightning strike, the aircraft was removed from service for a thorough inspection.
