An ANZ Air New Zealand Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A, registration ZK-MVU performing flight NZ-5330 from Christchurch to Wellington (New Zealand), was descending towards Wellington when the crew reported fumes in the cabin. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on Wellington's runway 16 with emergency services on stand by.

The airport reported emergency services were put on fully standby alert due to fumes in the cabin. The aircraft lnaded without incident.

The airline reported the pilots were alerted for fumes in the cabin and continued for a safe landing in Wellington, the passengers disembarked normally. Emergency services were on standby as precaution.

The aircraft remained on the ground in Wellington for about 9 hours, then positioned to Christchurch and is now on the ground in Christchurch for about 8.5 hours.
