A Westjet Boeing 737-800, registration C-GWSX performing flight WS-2289 from San Jose Cabo (Mexico) to Calgary,AB (Canada), landed on Calgary's runway 35R and slowed safely intending to vacate via the second high speed turn off D4, the crew steered the aircraft towards the turn off at about 25 knots over ground, the nose gear however missed the taxiway. The aircraft came to a stop with the nose gear on the grass.

The passengers disembarked onto the runway and were bussed to the terminal. The runway was closed until the aircraft was towed to the apron.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Calgary about 20 hours later.
