A Westjet Boeing 787-9, registration C-GURP performing flight WS-2 from Calgary,AB (Canada) to London Heathrow,EN (UK) with 322 people on board, was enroute at FL370 about 90 minutesab into the flight when the crew decided to return to Calgary, descended to FL360 for the return and landed safely back at Calgary about 3.5 hours after departure.

The Canadian TSB reported: "Approximately 2 hours into the flight, one of the pilots became incapacitated while outside the flight deck during a break. The operator's dispatch and an on-call pilot were notified, and after consultation with an aviation medical advisory service, determined the pilot should not return to duty. The flight jettisoned approximately 6000 pounds of fuel in order to land within an acceptable weight and returned to CYYC without incident."
