The aircraft was unable to depart for the return flight S4-136 and is still on the ground at Lajes about 26 hours after landing.
The airline regretted that as result of the aircraft remaining on the ground in Lajes the return flight as well as the next day's rotations to Pico Island and Lajes needed to be cancelled. The damage to the aircraft is currently being assessed.
