An Indigo Airbus A320-200N, registration VT-ITP performing flight 6E-912 from Dehra Dun to Bangalore (India), was climbing out of Dehra Dun's runway 26 when the crew stopped the climb at FL140 due to the left hand engine (PW1127) emitting bangs associated with an ENG#1 STALL, high EGT and high engine vibration indications. The crew diverted the flight to Delhi (India), located about 110nm south of Dehra Dun, for a safe landing about 30 minutes after departure.

India's AAIB rated the occurrence a serious incident and reported the aircraft received minor damage. The damage was limited to the #1 engine.
