An Air Tindi de Havilland Dash DHC-7-100, registration C-FWZV performing flight 8T-802 from Yellowknife,NT to Diavik,NT (Canada) with 3 people on board, was already in cruise when the crew observed an uncommanded yaw associated with the outboard right hand engine's (PT6A) T5 light illuminating. The crew shut the engine down and returned to Yellowknife for a safe landing on runway 34.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance identified a first stage compressor blade failure.
