An Air Corsica Airbus A320-200, registration F-HDMF performing flight XK-800 from Ajaccio to Lourdes (France) with 180 passengers, was climbing out of Ajaccio when the crew reported smoke in the cockpit, stopped the climb at about 10,000 feet and returned to Ajaccio for a safe landing.

A replacement A320-200 registration F-HDGK reached Lourdes with a delay of 5.5 hours.

The incident aircraft was able to resume service about 9 hours after landing.
