The runway was closed for about one hour until the aircraft was towed off the runway. Runway 04L was also not available due to damage caused by lightning.
The aircraft had departed Ajaccio with a delay of 80 minutes due to weather conditions in Nice.
About 30 minutes after F-GPRZ the next flight XK-522, ATR-72-500 F-GPRI, departed for Nice with a delay of 40 minutes and needed to go around from 4000 feet at Nice due to the runway closures, entered a hold for about one hour and landed safey at 23:16L (21:16Z) as first aircraft after runway 04R re-opened.
