A Volaris Airbus A321-200, registration XA-VLJ performing flight Y4-681 from Guadalajara to La Paz (Mexico), landed on La Paz's Leon Airport's runway 36. A post flight inspection revealed damage to the rims of the nose landing gear, impact marks on the lower fuselage and damage to the fan blades of the right hand engine (V2533).

Mexico's AIB rated the occurrence a serious incident and opened an investigation.
