An Indigo Airbus A320-200N, registration VT-ITX performing flight 6E-132 from Bangalore to Delhi (India), concluded a seemingly uneventful flight with a safe landing in Delhi.

A post flight inspection revealed metallic chips at the #3 bearing chip detector of the left hand engine (PW1127G). The aircraft was removed from service.

India's DGCA have so far grounded 12 of Indigo's A320-200 Neo Aircraft over safety concerns regarding the engines.

The European Aviation Safety Agency had issued an Emergency Airworthiness Directive regarding the PW1127 engines, see EASA issues EAD regarding A320 Neo and A321 Neo engines, withdraws ETOPS with immediate effect.
