A LGW Luftfahrtgesellschaft Walter de Havilland Dash 8-400 on behalf of Air Berlin, registration D-ABQA performing flight AB-6422 from Nuremberg to Berlin Tegel (Germany) with 53 people on board, was descending towards Berlin when the crew reported a burning odour in the aft cabin. The aircraft landed safely in Tegel with emergency services on stand by, the passengers disembarked onto a taxiway and were bussed to the terminal.

A cable fire in the aft cabin is suspected as cause of the burning odour.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Tegel 26 hours after landing.
