A Sun Express Boeing 737-800, registration TC-SNY performing flight XQ-13 from Dusseldorf (Germany) to Antalya (Turkey) with 167 passengers, was climbing out of Dusseldorf when the crew stopped the climb at FL160 reporting one of the engines did not deliver more than 50% of thrust anymore. The crew subsequently decided to divert to Cologne for a safe landing on runway 32R about one hour after departure.

A replacement Sun Express Deutschland Boeing 737-800 registration D-ASXS reached Antalya with a delay of about 11 hours.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground in Cologne for about 58 hours, then returned to service.
