A Hong Kong Express Airbus A320-200, registration B-LCN performing flight UO-1845 from Osaka Kansai (Japan) to Hong Kong (China) with 194 people on board, was enroute at FL360 about 130nm southwest of Osaka when the crew needed to shut the right hand engine (PW1127) down and returned to Osaka for a safe landing at Kansai Airport about 80 minutes after departure.

The flight was cancelled.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground about 29 hours after landing back.
