A Spicejet Boeing 737-800, registration VT-SLJ performing flight SG-192 from Bangalore to Delhi (India) with 188 passengers and 6 crew, was climbing through FL340 out of Bangalore when the crew decided to divert to Hyderabad due to a foul odour on board. The aircraft descended to FL100 and landed safely in Hyderabad about 50 minutes after descending out of FL340.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground for 3 hours, then continued as flight SG-192D and reached Delhi with a delay of about 3 hours.

The airline reported the foul odour on board originated from the forward lavatory. The lavatory and cockpit were cleaned and ventilated.
