An Air Astana Boeing 757-200, registration P4-KCU performing flight KC-921 from Astana (Kazakhstan) to Frankfurt/Main (Germany), was descending towards Frankfurt when the crew advised they had a hydraulic failure causing the loss of nose wheel steering, they would be unable to vacate the runway and needed a tow, the crew also requested a long final. The aircraft positioned for a long final to Frankfurt's runway 25L and landed safely (showing unusually slow ground speeds at 100 knots as result of the storm front Doris moving across Europe).

The aircraft was unable to depart for the return flight KC-922 and is still on the ground in Frankfurt.
