A Ryanair Boeing 737-800, registration EI-ENB performing flight FR-4060 from Warsaw Modlin (Poland) to Malaga,SP (Spain), departed Modlin Airport's runway 08 and was in the initial climb when the crew received indication of a possible tailstrike, levelled off at 6000 feet and entered a hold to burn off fuel. The aircraft returned to Modlin for a safe landing on runway 08 about 110 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration EI-EVM reached Malaga with a delay of 5.5 hours.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Modlin about 18.5 hours after landing back.

The airline reported the aircraft experienced a tail scrape on departure from Modlin, minor scratch marks were detected on the tail skid assembly. The occurrence was reported to the Irish Aviation Authority and Irish AAIU.
