A Travel Service Boeing 737-800, registration OK-TVE performing flight QS-1201 from Dubai (United Arab Emirates) to Prague (Czech Republic), was climbing out of Dubai when the crew received an overheat indication for the left hand engine (CFM56), stopped the climb at FL180 and reduced the thrust lever to idle, the overheat indication ceased. The crew decided to return to Dubai for a safe landing on runway 30L about 40 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration OK-TVU, scheduled to perform flight QS-1213 to Prague, reached Prague with a delay of 3:15 hours.

Czech's UZPLN reported that a maintenance inspection did not reveal any engine damage or fault, the aircraft was released to service.

The aircraft was able to resume service about 6 hours after landing back, performed flight QS-1213.
