A Smartwings Boeing 737-800, registration OK-TVE performing flight QS-1287 from Tel Aviv (Israel) to Prague (Czech Republic), was on final approach to Prague's runway 24 when the crew experienced the spontaneous disconnection of both autopilots and the failure of the radio altimeter and stopped the descent at about 1500 feet MSL. Considering present weather conditions the crew decided to divert to Pardubice (Czech Republic), climbed to FL080 and landed safely in Pardubice about 35 minutes later.

On Jan 13th 2016 the Czech UZPLN reported in their quarterly bulletin that maintenance performed the relevant tests and fixed the problem.

The aircraft, that had departed Tel Aviv with a delay of 2 hours, was able to depart Pardubice about one hour after landing and reached Prague with a total delay of 3.5 hours.
