A Westjet Encode de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration C-GENU performing flight WS-3105 from Vancouver,BC to Terrace,BC (Canada) with 42 people on board, was on approach to Terrace when the crew selected the gear down but received an unsafe indication for the nose gear. The aircraft went around, the crew decided to divert to Prince George,BC (Canada). While enroute to Prince George the crew declared Emergency and requested tower to inspect the nose landing gear. The aircraft performed two low approaches, tower reported the gear appeared to be in position and the aircraft landed safely.

The Canadian TSB reported that maintenance replaced the nose landing gear actuator.
