An Easyjet Switzerland Airbus A320-200 on behalf of Easyjet, registration HB-JYA performing flight U2-1337 from Geneva (Switzerland) to Santiago De Compostela,SP (Spain), was on approach to Santiago's runway 17 when the aircraft flew through a flock of birds and received an impact against the fuselage. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway 17.

The aircraft was unable to depart for the return flight and is still on the ground about 38 hours after landing.

A replacement Easyjet A320-200 registration G-EZTH was dispatched to Santiago to perform the return flight U2-1338 and reached Geneva with a delay of 4.5 hours.
