An Aeroflot Airbus A321-200, registration VP-BQR performing flight SU-2412 from Moscow Sheremetyevo (Russia) to Milan Malpensa (Italy), was enroute at FL300 about 200nm west of Moscow when the crew received indication the green hydraulic system had failed. The crew decided to return to Moscow Sheremetyevo, burned off fuel and landed safely on runway 25L about one hour later.

A replacement A321-200 registration VP-BWN departed Moscow 2 hours after landing and reached Milan with a delay of 5 hours.
