An Aeroflot Airbus A321-200, registration VP-BQR performing flight SU-2471 from Nice (France) to Moscow Sheremetyevo (Russia) with 147 people on board, was climbing out of Nice's runway 04R when the crew received indication of low quantity in the green hydraulic system. The crew continued the climb and flight to Moscow. On final approach to Sheremetyevo's runway 07R, while selecting the landing gear down, the hydraulic system failed prompting the crew to go around, perform a manual gear extension, declare emergency, position for another approach and land safely on runway 07L about 16 minutes after aborting the first approach and about 200 minutes after departure from Nice.

Rosaviatsia confirmed the crew received a low quantity indication for the green hydraulic system shortly after takeoff from Nice.

The incident aircraft resumed service the following morning about 20 hours later.
