A Saudi Arabian Airlines Airbus A321-200, registration HZ-ASO performing flight SV-321 from Dammam (Saudi Arabia) to Cairo (Egypt), was on final approach to Cairo's runway 23L when the crew initiated a go around due to brakes fault indication. The aircraft entered a hold, climbing up to 9000 feet, while the crew was working the checklists and prepared the aircraft for a landing possibly without brakes. The aircraft landed on Cairo's runway 23L about 25 minutes after going around and stopped past the hold short line of the last high speed turn off about 2500 meters/8300 feet down the runway.

Following maintenance the aircraft was able to depart for its next leg about 90 minutes after landing.
