A Red Wings Tupolev TU-204, registration RA-64050 performing flight WZ-9830 from Tyumen to Sochi (Russia) with 213 passengers and 8 crew, was in the initial climb out of Tyumen's runway 03 when the crew needed to shut the left hand engine (PS-90A) down, stopped the climb at 1500 meters, burned off fuel for 100 minutes and returned to Tyumen for a safe landing on runway 03 about 2 hours after departure.

Ural's Transport Investigation Department is investigating the occurrence and reported a left hand engine sensor indicated an engine failure.
