The crew was finally forced to land on Calgary's runway 35R keeping the nose up as long as practicable, once the nose gear lowered onto the runway the nose gear collapsed and the aircraft came to a stop on its main gear and slid on its nose. The passengers evacuated onto the runway and were bussed to the terminal. There were no injuries.
