Georgian CRJ1 at Toronto on Dec 26th 2017, trim failure in initial climb, control trouble

An Air Georgian Canadair CRJ-100, registration C-FWRR performing flight ZX-7341 from Toronto,ON (Canada) to Columbus,OH (USA) with 30 passengers and 3 crew, departed Toronto's runway 23 when climbing through 500 feet AGL the crew received "STAB TRIM" and "MACH TRIM" EICAS messages, the crew experienced some control difficulty while continuing the climb to 5000 feet. The crew was subsequently able to re-engage both Stab Trims however was unable to engage Mach Trim, declared PAN and returned to Toronto for a safe landing about 30 minutes after departure.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance retrieved information from the maintenance computer which indicated there was a fault with the horizontal stabilzer trim actuator unit. The unit was replaced.
