A Jazz Canadair CRJ-200, registration C-GQJA performing flight QK-8032 from Montreal,QC (Canada) to Philadelphia,PA (USA) with 40 people on board, was descending towards Philadelphia when the crew received a left hand engine jet pipe overheat caution indication, reduced the engine to idle thrust but received a jet pipe overheat warning. The crew declared emergency, advised they kept the engine running at idle and continued for a safe landing on runway 09R about 20 minutes later.
