A SAS Scandinavian Airlines Canadair CRJ-900, registration OY-KFE performing flight SK-2872 from Copenhagen (Denmark) to Bergen (Norway) with 62 passengers and 4 crew, jad just reached FL300 after climbing out of Copenhagen's runway 04R when the crew requested to return to Copenhagen subsequently reporting something had struck somewhere "down under" the aircraft shortly after takeoff, operation was normal however, no assistance and no emergency services were needed. The aircraft returned to Copenhagen for a safe landing on runway 04L about 30 minutes after departure, emergency services were "chasing" the aircraft.

Emergency services were told about a possible bird strike and assumed an engine was affected.

A replacement CRJ-900 registration OY-KFD reached Bergen with a delay of 90 minutes.
