A Jazz Canadair CRJ-705, registration C-FJJZ performing flight QK-8520 from Montreal,QC to Winnipeg,MB (Canada) with 41 people on board, was climbing out of Montreal when the crew stopped the climb at FL240 and requested to return to Montreal due to a problem with the cabin pressure. While descending back towards Montreal the right hand integrated drive generator (IDG) failed followed by the left hand IDG about 3 minutes later, the Air Driven Generator (ADG) deployed. The crew declared PAN, worked the related checklists and was able to restore two generators. The aircraft landed on Montreal's runway 06L about 40 minutes after departure.

The Canadian TSB reported that maintenance replaced both IDGs as well as the MT144 and MT204 loops of the bleed air system.
