A Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-300, registration N390SW performing flight WN-4187 from Grand Rapids,MI to Denver,CO (USA) with 133 people on board, was enroute at FL330 about 40nm west of Milwaukee,WI (USA) when the crew decided to divert to Milwaukee due to a faint unusual odour in the cabin. The aircraft landed safely in Milwaukee about 30 minutes later.

Mechanics inspected the aircraft and identified a small loose hose as source of the odour. The aircraft was able to depart Milwaukee again after about 2 hours and reached Denver with a delay of 3.5 hours.

The airline reported maintenance discovered a small, non-safety related hose became loose and cause a faint unusual odour.
