Flydubai B738 at Hail on May 5th 2016, sand and gravel ingested into both engines

A Flydubai Boeing 737-800, registration A6-FDY performing flight FZ-885 from Dubai (United Arab Emirates) to Hail (Saudi Arabia), landed in Hail.

The aircraft however was unable to depart for the return flight due to ingestion of large amounts of sand and gravel into both engines (CFM56).

A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration A6-FDZ was dispatched to Hail as flight FZ-8885 carrying a maintenance team and spares and is estimated to perform the return flight FZ-886 early May 6th.
