A Norwegian Air Shuttle Boeing 737-800, registration LN-NGU performing flight DY-4464 from Edinburgh,SC (UK) to Stockholm (Sweden) with 161 people on board, was climbing through FL330 over the North Sea when the crew reported smoke in the cabin and decided to divert to Stavanger (Norway). The aircraft descended to FL250 and landed safely on Stavanger's runway 18 about 40 minutes later. The crew advised that the smoke had dissipated with no further assistance being needed and taxied to the apron.

A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration LN-DYP reached Stockholm with a delay of 2:45 hours.
