An Ikar Airlines Boeing 767-300, registration VP-BOY performing flight IK-305 from Moscow Sheremetyevo to Khabarovsk (Russia) with 93 passengers and 10 crew, was enroute at FL350 near Irkutsk when the crew received a smoke detector alert, descended the aircraft to FL130 and worked the related checklists while diverting to Irkutsk for a safe landing on runway 30. There were no injuries.

Irkutsk's Ministry of Emergencies reported they are looking into probable arson.

The aircraft remained on the ground for 12 hours, then resumed the flight and reached Khabarovsk with a delay of 12:45 hours.
