An Ikar Embraer ERJ-190, registration VP-BZJ performing flight IK-55 from Kazan to Novy Urengoy (Russia), was climbing though FL210 out of Kazan when the crew stopped the climb, rapidly descended the aircraft to about FL160 and returned to Kazan due to the loss of cabin pressure.

A replacement E190 registration VP-BZG reached Novy Urengoy with a delay of 5.5 hours.
