A Commutair de Havilland Dash 8-200 on behalf of United, registration N367PH performing flight C5-4775/UA-4775 from Albany,NY to Newark,NJ (USA) with 37 people on board, was climbing out of Albany's runway 19 when the crew, just upon being handed off to departure, announced they had a failure of their left hand engine (PW123C). The aircraft levelled off at about 2000 feet, joined a right downwind for an ILS approach to runway 19 and landed safely back on runway 19 about 15 minutes after departure.

The flight as well as the next rotation were cancelled.
