A Qeshm Air Fokker 100, registration EP-FQG performing flight QB-1250 from Tehran Mehrabad to Mashad (Iran) with 97 passengers and 5 crew, was climbing through FL240 out of Tehran when the cabin pressure was lost and the passenger oxygen masks were released. The crew performed a rapid descent and returned to Tehran Mehrabad for a safe landing.

The Dutch DSB reported in their quarterly bulletin that a malfunction of the cabin pressure controller caused the loss of cabin pressure. Iran's Civil Aviation Authority rated the occurrence a serious incident and opened an investigation. The Dutch DSB (editorial note: representing the state of manufacture) offered assistance.
