A Calm Air Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-202, registration C-FULE performing flight MO-8670 from Churchill,MB to Rankin Inlet,NU (Canada) with 2 crew, was enroute at FL210 about 80nm north of Churchill when the crew noticed a low oil pressure indication for the left hand engine (PW124), the oil pressure indication fluctuated with a decreasing tendency. The crew shut the left hand engine down, declared emergency and continued to Rankin Inlet, 250nm north of Churchill, for a safe landing.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance found the threads in a T-fitting housing on the #1 engine oil pressure regulator had failed causing the T-fitting to come loose.
