An American Airlines Airbus A321-200, registration N123NN performing flight AA-295 from Miami,FL to Los Angeles,CA (USA) with 186 passengers and 6 crew, was enroute at FL300 about 85nm eastnortheast of Lubbock,TX (USA) when the crew reported an oil problem with the right hand engine (V2533) and decided to divert to Lubbock. The aircraft landed safely on runway 26 about 30 minutes later, the crew requested emergency crews to check the brakes and the right hand engine, then taxied to the apron.

A replacement Airbus A321-200 registration carried the passengers from Lubbock to Dallas Ft. Worth, TX (USA) at first, the aircraft remained on the ground in Dallas for about 50 minutes then continued to Los Angeles arriving in Los Angeles with a delay of 14 hours.
