A Shenzhen Airlines Boeing 737-900, registration B-5106 performing flight ZH-9753 from Shenzhen to Hangzhou (China), was enroute to Hangzhou when the crew was informed tyre debris had been found on the departure runway. The crew continued the flight to Hangzhou, performed three low approaches to Hangzhou's runway 25, which identified the inboard right main tyre had lost its tread but remained inflated, then decided to divert to Shanghai's Hongqiao Airport for a safe landing on runway 36R about 75 minutes after the first low approach.
