A Jazz de Havilland Dash 8-300, registration C-FJXZ performing flight QK-8220 from Cranbrook,BC to Vancouver,BC (Canada) with 9 people on board, was climbing through 800 feet out of Cranbrook when the right hand propeller uncommandedly auto-feathered, engine torque went through 136% and propeller RPMs dropped to 500 revolutions per minute. The crew shut the #2 engine (PW123) down and returned to Cranbrook for a safe landing.

The Canadian TSB reported the #2 torque signal control unit (TSCU) was found at fault, both TSCUs and the right hand propeller were replaced.
