A SAS Scandinavian Airlines Airbus A330-300, registration LN-RKO performing flight SK-909 from Copenhagen (Denmark) to Newark,NJ (USA), was climbing through FL290 when the crew stopped the climb due to vibrations and decided to return to Copenhagen. The aircraft landed safely on Copenhagen's runway 22L about 100 minutes after departure.

A replacement A340-300 registration LN-RKP departed about 3 hours after landing and is estimated to reach Newark with a delay of 4:40 hours.

The airline reported the crew received indication of a possible technical problem, there were also some vibrations.
