An American Airlines Boeing 767-300, registration N352AA performing flight AA-123 from Dallas Ft. Worth,TX to Honolulu,HI (USA) with 137 passengers and 10 crew, was enroute at FL360 about 150nm east of Los Angeles,CA (USA) when the crew decided to divert to Los Angeles due an issue with an aileron. The aircraft landed safely in Los Angeles about 30 minutes later.

A replacement Boeing 767-300 registration N39356 departed Los Angeles about 2.5 hours after landing and reached Honolulu with a delay of 3 hours.

The airline reported the aircraft diverted to Los Angeles as a precaution due to an issue with an aileron.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Los Angeles about 27 hours after landing.
