A Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-300, registration N614SW performing flight WN-386 from San Jose,CA to Ontario,CA (USA), was accelerating for takeoff from San Jose's runway 30R when the crew rejected takeoff at high speed after the right hand engine (CFM56) ingested a bird. The aircraft slowed safely and taxied to the apron.

A replacement Boeing 737-300 registration N380SW reached Ontario with a delay of 90 minutes.

The FAA reported the minor damage to the right hand engine is being determined.
