An Air Canada Airbus A320-200, registration C-FDSU performing flight AC-1196 from Fort McMurray,AB to Toronto,ON (Canada) with 106 people on board, was enroute at FL370 nearing the top of descent when the crew received a "ENG 1 THR LEVER DISAGREE" ECAM message, worked the related checklists reducing the thrust lever to idle for the descent and landing. The crew declared PAN and continued for a safe landing in Toronto.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance replaced the thrust control unit.
