Transasia AT72 near Makung on Sep 8th 2015, engine shut down in flight
Last Update: September 9, 2015 / 14:59:43 GMT/Zulu time
As result of the aircraft being unavailable Transasia needed to cancel the rotation GE-2113/GE-2142 from Makung to Kaohsiung and back.
The airline reported reported the engine was leaking engine oil.
On Sep 9th 2015 Taiwan's CAA reported an oil transfer pipe ruptured, a fleet wide inspection of these tubes has been initiated, the examination should also determine whether there is a systemic issue or a maintenance issue involved.
