A Transasia Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-500, registration B-22811 performing flight GE-505 from Taipei Songshan to Makung (Taiwan) with 22 passengers and 4 crew, was enroute about to reach the top of descent when the crew noticed the right hand engine's (PW127F) oil pressure and oil quantity indications were abnormal and shut the engine down. The aircraft continued for a safe landing at Makung.

As result of the aircraft being unavailable Transasia needed to cancel the rotation GE-2113/GE-2142 from Makung to Kaohsiung and back.

The airline reported reported the engine was leaking engine oil.

On Sep 9th 2015 Taiwan's CAA reported an oil transfer pipe ruptured, a fleet wide inspection of these tubes has been initiated, the examination should also determine whether there is a systemic issue or a maintenance issue involved.
