A Brussels Airlines Avro RJ-100, registration OO-DWC performing flight SN-3158 from Milan Malpensa (Italy) to Brussels (Belgium) with 86 passengers and 4 crew, was descending towards Brussels when the crew reported a cargo smoke indication and accelerated the approach to runway 25R, where the aircraft landed safely. Emergency services found no trace of fire, smoke or heat.

The airline confirmed a cargo smoke indication which turned out to have been false however.
