An American Airlines Boeing 757-200, registration N666A performing flight AA-903 from Miami,FL (USA) to Caracas (Venezuela), was climbing out of Miami when the crew stopped the climb due to an aircraft forward door becoming very noisy as result of a leaking door seal. The aircraft returned to Miami burning off fuel at low altitude for about 50 minutes and landed safely on Miami's runway 09L about 60 minutes after stopping the climb.

Following repair the aircraft was able to depart again after about 2:15 hours on the ground and reached Caracas with a delay of 4.5 hours.
