The aircraft was unable to depart for the return flight U2-7626, passengers waiting for the return flight were told the aircraft received a bird strike, a maintenance engineer was being dispatched to Ponta Delgada. Later the airline informed the passengers, that no maintenance engineer could be sourced before the crew timed out and the flight had to be postponed to the following day. The passengers were taken to hotels.
