A Brussels Airlines Avro RJ-100, registration OO-DWL performing flight SN-2063 from Brussels (Belgium) to Edinburgh,SC (UK) with 93 people on board, was climbing out of Brussels' runway 07R when the crew stopped the climb at 7000 feet declaring PAN and reporting an engine failure. The aircraft returned to Brussels for a safe landing on runway 01 about 25 minutes after departure.

A replacement RJ-100 registration OO-DWD reached Edinburgh with a delay of 105 minutes.
